Midtown hotel Sofitel New York announced the second in its series of Broadway-themed suites, this one based on the musical Waitress. Available for booking through February, the new suite will have original costumes, signed memorabilia, props from the show and more.
With views of Manhattan’s skyline, the new Waitress the Musical Suite will combine the luxury of Sofitel New York’s Skyscraper Suites with one-of-a-kind memorabilia from the Broadway show.
Hung one the suite’s walls will be original costumes from the show, including the waitress uniform Molly Hager wore in the role of Becky and the lab coat worn by Jason Mraz as Dr. Pomatter. Signed posters by Katharine McPhee, Sara Bareilles and Jason Mraz and a Playbill signed by the entire original Broadway cast have also been framed and hung on the walls.
Around the room, guests will see props from the musical, including a vintage pie shop sign, a Joe’s Pie diner menu and a diner bar seat. A copy of Sugar, Butter, Flour: The Waitress Cookbook will also be on display, with baking essentials scattered throughout the suite.
“We are thrilled to welcome guests and Broadway lovers to our exclusive Waitress the Musical Suite, providing loyal fans with a chance to really dive into this hit musical,” said Simon Antoine, General Manager, Sofitel New York. “The show’s service-oriented storyline, paired with the fun, lighthearted narrative – and, of course, the desserts – makes Waitress a perfect partner for us. In New York City, Broadway is the epicenter of culture and events – two of the founding pillars of the Sofitel brand – and we’re delighted to bring this type of immersive experience to our guests.”
All guests staying at the suite will be presented with a slice of pie and a welcome letter from the musical’s cast. Downstairs at the hotel’s restaurant Gaby Brasserie Francaise, those staying at the suite can receive two complimentary Waitress the Musical Winter Old Fashioned cocktails and two slices of Jenna’s Rhubarb & Cranberry Crumble.
