The official Broadway website for Waitress the Musical has updated with a message mentioning plans for the Broadway revival, saying: “The diner is currently closed. We can’t wait to welcome you again when Broadway reopens. We hope to see you this fall!”

The Broadway revival is rumoured to be accompanied with a pro-shot recording of the show; this was originally due to happen at the Adelphi Theatre in London, but plans were abandoned when Sara Bareilles and Gavin Creel had to return to the US early due to the COVID-19 crisis.
