David Hunter, who originated the role of Dr. Pomatter in the West End production of Waitress the Musical, and Lucie Jones, the first British Jenna Hunterson, are releasing a book about their time in the show.

“Doctor’s Orders: Our Friendship in Doodles” is a collection of David and Lucie’s memories of the show. The description says: “Every night during the West End run of Waitress the Musical, Dr. Pomatter would hand Jenna Hunterson (or was it Bunterson?) a prescription, and every night without fail, David Hunter would doodle a little something on it to make Lucie Jones smile. Lucie loved them so much, she kept them… ALL OF THEM! And now, for the first time ever, David and Lucie are sharing their favourites in this book, along with stories and photos from their magical time in everyone’s favourite pie show!”

You can pre-order the book here – the pre-order window closes on 12 March 2023, with estimated delivery of 27 March 2023. A limited edition pie box containing a T-shirt, signed copy of the book and a personalised sketch by David Hunter, using the actual prescription pads used in the West End production, is also available.
