Adam Shapiro
Adam Shapiro played the role of Ogie Herbert Eincorn in Waitress the Musical on Broadway at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre for a limited engagement in summer 2018, alongside his real-life wife Katie Lowes as Dawn.
Adam is best known for his role on “Sense8,” as well as guest appearing as Jesse Tyler in the ABC political drama series “Scandal.” Both Adam and Katie made their Broadway debuts in Waitress.
On appearing in Waitress Adam said: “For the first few weeks, I was doing everything Christopher Fitzgerald did. Then a few weeks later a Chris thing would go and an Adam thing would come in and now people think Ogie was written for me. I’m like, ‘You guys have no idea, you have to go back and watch Chris Fitzgerald because it’s his role – I’m just keeping it alive’.”
