Ashley Roberts
Ashley Roberts took over the role of Dawn in Waitress the Musical on the West End for a limited engagement, on 17 June 2019 finishing on 10 August 2019.
Ashley moved to Los Angeles when she was 19, and auditioned for the burlesque troupe, the Pussycat Dolls. In 2003, she was offered a place in the group as a signed recording artist, with Nicole Scherzinger as the lead singer. Their first international single, “Don’t Cha,” was released in April 2005 and reached #1 in the UK, Australia, Germany and Canada, peaking at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US. The Pussycat Dolls went onto score further hits from their two albums, “PCD,” and “Doll Domination,” with Ashley officially leaving the group in 2010, after having sold 54 million records worldwide.
In 2012, Ashley competed in the twelfth series of the ITV reality show, “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!”, finishing as runner-up to Charlie Brooks. She then became a judge on the British celebrity skating show “Dancing on Ice” for its eight and ninth series in 2013 and 2014.
Ashley also hosted the Ant vs Dec segment on the revived version of “Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway” from 2013 to 2016, as well as being a contestant for the second series of “The Jump,” where she was eliminated in the second week. She also released two solo singles, “Clockwork” and “Woman Up,” from her debut album, “Butterfly Effect.”
In 2018, she entered “Strictly Come Dancing” with Pasha Kovalev as her professional partner. She finished as joint runners-up to winners Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton.
