In 2024, rights to Waitress the Musical were released for regional non-replica premieres across the United States and Canada.

In February 2025, another of these opened at the Senney Theater in the Beck Center for the Arts, Lakewood, Ohio.

The show features new direction from Victoria Bussert, with choregraphy from Lauren Marousek.
