In 2024, rights to Waitress the Musical were released for regional non-replica premieres across the United States.
In November 2024, another of these opened at the Florida Studio Theatre in Sarasota, Florida.
The show features new direction from Ben Liebert, with new scenic design from Isabel A. and Moriah Curley-Clay of Axis Studios Design. The show also features new costume design from Chelsea Allen and Jacob Denney.
