Jason Mraz
Jason Mraz played Dr. Jim Pomatter in Waitress the Musical on Broadway at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre from 3 November 2017 to 11 February 2018, starring alongside Betsy Wolfe as Jenna, before Sara Bareilles returned to the role for a second stint in early 2018.
Jason’s first involvement with Waitress happened when Sara asked him to provide the male vocals for the duets on Songs For Waitress, where he performs on both ‘Bad Idea’ and ‘You Matter to Me’.
His solo career as a performer has seen him achieve great success, after his debut studio album, ‘Waiting for My Rocket to Come’ was released in 2002, which contained the hit single “The Remedy (I Won’t Worry),” he went onto sell over 100,000 copies of the follow-up, ‘Mr. A-Z’, in 2005. His third album, ‘We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.’ debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200 and was an international commercial success, with the single “I’m Yours” peaking at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #11 in the UK as well as #1 in France. His fourth album, Love Is a Four Letter Word, peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200, his highest-charting album to date.
Jason has also won two Grammy awards – in 2010, he took home Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for “Make It Mine” and Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals for “Lucky” with Colbie Caillat.
