In 2024, rights to Waitress the Musical were released for regional non-replica premieres across the United States and Canada.
In January 2025, another of these opened at the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, Winnipeg.
The theatre created four themed ice cream flavours, based on pies made in the show as well as decorating the lobby with Waitress-themed decorations.
