Eric Anderson

Eric Anderson originated the role of Cal in Waitress the Musical at the American Repertory Theater in 2015, as well as opening the show on Broadway at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. Eric’s voice can be heard on the Original Broadway Cast Recording.

He originated roles on Broadway in shows such as Kinky Boots, where he played Mutt, and Rocky, where he played Gazzo, Soul Doctor, where he played Shlomo. In 2006, Eric won the first Joel Hirschhorn award for outstanding achievement in musical theatre, awarded by the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle.

He left Waitress on 1 January 2017, and went onto star alongside Keala Settle in “The Greatest Showman,” playing Mr. O’Malley, as well as originating the role of Mr. Thompson in Pretty Woman: The Musical on Broadway In 2018.

Eric returned to Waitress for the Broadway re-staging, before going to star in Moulin Rouge as Harold Zidler.
