Nick Bailey
Nick Bailey originated the role of Earl Hunterson on the First National Tour of Waitress the Musical.
He is famous for playing Steve Lefevre in the Amazon TV show, “Red Oaks.”
Nick spoke about playing Earl saying: “I picture Earl as a modern Billy Bigelow, the protagonist of Carousel. Earl has huge emotions and no facility with which to express them. Like Billy, he has enormous pride, loses his job and is deeply in love with his wife, who is expecting their first child, but lacks the emotional sophistication necessary to communicate his feelings, hopes and needs. Earl’s arc begins long before the curtain rises, and in the play we witness his downward spiral. I hope after the curtain falls Earl finds happiness. Unfortunately, the ending of his story, which isn’t shown, is most likely, echoing Billy Bigelow, a tragic one.”
