Hannah Tointon

Hannah Tointon took over the role of Dawn Louise Pinkett in Waitress the Musical at the Adelphi Theatre in London’s West End on 2 December 2019. She is the third actress to star in the role following Laura Baldwin and Ashley Roberts.

Hannah is the younger sister of fellow actress, Kara Tointon, starting her career as Tamsin in the children’s TV show Kerching! on CBBC. In 2007, she starred in season eight of the Sky One football drama, Dream Team, playing Savannah Caskey, the 17 year old daughter of former Harchester United midfielder Carl Caskey and the step-daughter of his wife Nicole. She then went onto star in the Channel 4 soap opera, Hollyoaks, for a year in 2007, playing Katy Fox, the younger sister of Warren Fox.

In 2010, she appeared as Simon’s girlfriend Tara, in the third season of the Channel 4 sitcom, The Inbetweeners, starring alongside Waitress alumni, Blake Harrison. In 2012, she starred in the ITV2 supernatural drama Switch, alongside Lacey Turner, before appearing as Maud in Penny Dreadful in 2014 and Violette in Mr. Selfridge in 2015.

In 2018, she made her stage debut on the UK tour of Strangers on a Train. Waitress marks her West End debut.
