‘Live Your Life’ is a song written by Nick Cordero, part of the original Broadway cast of Waitress the Musical. Nick sadly passed away on 5 July 2020 from COVID-19.
The song was performed by members of the Waitress cast, including Sara Bareilles, via Zoom in April 2020, before being performed live on stage at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on the night Waitress the Musical’s Broadway restaging opened, on 2 September 2021.
The song is the inspiration behind ‘A Big Ol’ Slice Of Live Your Life Pie’ which was added to the pie board at Joe’s Pie Diner in all replica productions of Waitress the Musical from September 2021, including the UK and Ireland tour. The pie has also been introduced into the script, as the pie Jenna has created for Ogie and Dawn’s wedding.
